Video: Man Breaks Woman's Nose After She Told Him To Stop Yelling At Other Women On Subway

A woman says that she was attacked while leaving a Brooklyn subway station, and that the assault was provoked by an argument she had on the train with the suspect.

The incident took place last Thursday, March 21st, around 7:15 p.m. According to police, the 52-year-old woman was on a train on the 2/5 line when she got into an argument with a male subway rider who was allegedly shouting at other female passengers. When the train got to Church Avenue, the suspect followed her out and, when she made her way up the stairs to street level, allegedly punched her in the face.

The victim's nose was broken. She told WABC 7 that while on the train, "(He was using) foul-mouthed language to insult them and scream at" two women, so she told him not to speak to people like that.

He kept insulting her as she left the train, and according to the victim, at the top of the stairs, "He turned around, and just said 'now I can hit you,' and that was the moment where I already felt him hitting me."

She was not expecting the attack and believes her assailant was "already mentally unstable and in the mood to insult people."

The suspect is described as being 20-30 years old, with shoulder length braids and was last seen wearing a white hooded shirt and dark pants.
