Three More Arrested For Allegedly Beating Protesters After Proud Boys Event In NYC

According to police, Irvin Antillon, Douglas Lennan, and Maxwell Hare were all arrested and charged with riot and assault.

The NYPD has arrested three more people in connection with the street brawl outside the Metropolitan Republican Club in the Upper East Side last Friday.
According to police, Irvin Antillon, Douglas Lennan, and Maxwell Hare were all arrested and charged with riot and assault on Monday. Hare, a Pennsylvania resident, was also charged with gang assault and criminal possession of a weapon. The NYPD did not immediately respond to Gothamist's inquiries seeking additional information about the weapon, or why Hare alone received the gang assault charge.
Antillon, a 41-year-old Queens resident, is reportedly a member of the primarily Latino skinhead crew Battalion 49. He attended the deadly Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville as a member of the Proud Boys-affiliated group the Fraternal Order of Alt-Knights, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center.
Both Lennan, 40, and Hare, 26, are believed to be full-fledged members of the Proud Boys. Hare has been identified on the official Proud Boys website, and was reportedly scheduled to speak alongside Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes at an anti-Muslim rally in Manhattan last year.

Two other Proud Boys—Geoffrey Young, 38, and John Kinsman, 39—were arrested on Friday and subsequently arraigned. While Young was released following his arraignment, Kinsman—"the single most vicious of all the attackers," according to prosecutors—was held in lieu of $25,000 bond. As of Monday, the NYPD has arrested a total of five people involved with the Proud Boys for their role in the melee, in addition to three antifascist protesters.
On Friday, Gavin McInnes told the Times that the remaining members of the Proud Boys still wanted by police planned to surrender by the end of the night—though that still has not happened yet. According to John Miller, the Police Department’s Deputy Commissioner for Intelligence and Counterterrorism, the Proud Boys are now “the subject of a regular criminal investigation."
