NYPD: Man Repeatedly Groped Woman In Fort Greene Deli

Security camera video shows a man groping the victim, then leaving the deli, only to return to slap her on the buttocks.

A woman was repeatedly assaulted while in a Brooklyn deli last weekend, and police are still searching for the suspect. Security camera video shows a man groping the victim, then leaving the deli, only to return to slap her on the buttocks.

The incident took place at 12:35 a.m. on March 16th, inside the Dekalb Deli at 106 Dekalb Avenue in Fort Greene. According to the NYPD, the suspect "tried to engage the 29-year-old female victim in conversation" but when she "rebuffed his advances, the individual forcibly groped her. The victim fended off the individual's assault long enough to call 911 but he persisted and continued to grope her during the call."

The suspect, who fled southbound on Ashland Place, is described as being 30-35 years old, 6'1" and 160-170 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, a black jacket, gray sweatpants and black sneakers.
