One person is dead after a shooting in a Brooklyn playground on Thursday evening. Two others were injured.

According to the NYPD, police officers, responding to 911 calls around 6:34 p.m., found three males shot at Bushwick Playground at Knickerbocker Avenue and Madison Street: a 21-year-old man who was shot in the back; a 20-year-old man shot in the back and left elbow; and a 20-year-old man who was grazed in the left forearm.

The 21-year-old was taken to Wyckoff Hospital where he was pronounced dead, while the two 20-year-old were taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition. WCBS 2 reports that a group had been fighting in the playground before the gunman fired.

"The shooting appeared to be gang-related and the victims were allegedly members of the Trinitarios," sources told the NY Post.

A soccer team was practicing in the park when the shooting took place. One child told reporters, "I was practicing, and then I heard six shots. I saw people running from the basketball court towards the field. Then my coach told us to run towards our parents and then we ran and we just saw a kid running and he fell down in the field and he was like, bleeding."

A girl said she thought the shots were fireworks at first but then she ran.
