A man wearing an MTA uniform has been accused of groping a woman on a Bronx subway platform on Tuesday, police said.

According to authorities, the unidentified man approached a 27-year-old woman waiting for a Manhattan-bound 6 train at the Parkchester Station yesterday afternoon and grabbed her butt. He is believed to be in his 50s or 60s, and was said to be "dressed as an MTA employee," according to an NYPD spokesperson.
The woman reported to police that she kicked the individual, causing him to flee to an unknown location. There are no suspects at this time.
A spokesperson for the MTA did not respond to Gothamist's request for comment.
UPDATE: In a statement to Gothamist, Shams Tarek, a spokesperson for the MTA, called the incident "very disturbing."
"While we have no record or proof of an employee being involved, the NYPD is leading this investigation, we stand ready to assist, and if it’s confirmed an employee was involved then they will face serious consequences from the MTA," he added.
