Looks Like It Might Actually Be Pretty Warm Thursday?
March 13, 2019, 4:51 p.m.
Thursday and Friday bring perfect weather for those pants that zip off into shorts.

Friday could hit 65, can you imagine?
So, yes, to be clear: It is technically still winter for a few more days, and as previously stated, the beginning of spring does not preclude the possibility of snow between now and summer. Sorry, I don't make The Weather! However, I'm sure you will be pleased to learn that New York City would seem to be swimming toward a warm patch—highs of nearly 60 tomorrow, and a projected 65 on Friday (before temps drop back into the 30s on Sunday, but feel free to tune out the sound of this other shoe dropping).
According to the National Weather Service, we should expect temps to hover in the low 40s overnight, climbing into the 50s over the course of tomorrow morning and topping out at a balmy 58 by about 3 p.m. That sounds pretty pleasant, so I hope you wouldn't be so greedy as to ask for unadulterated sunshine, because you likely won't get it: The NWS currently charts fairly dense cloud cover throughout the day, thinning somewhat during the afternoon.
We're likely looking at low 50s into Friday morning, but that may ratchet up to 65 by the mid-afternoon, hell yes. Unfortunately, this spike will almost certainly come with rain, slated to pick up late Friday morning (when the NWS forecasts a slight chance of thunder, cross your fingers please) and persist into Saturday morning.
Temps on Saturday should range from mid-40s to low 50s, dropping to what currently looks like a low of 33 on Sunday morning. I think you may want to hole up at home on Sunday anyway, though, because Sunday is St. Patrick's Day and going outside means you might accidentally wander into some drunk bro's chunder radius. Personally, I don't think you should risk it.
