Brooklyn Cops Rescue Extremely Cute Kitten From Sewer

Finally, some pawsitive news: An objectively adorable kitten was rescued from unknown horror when a police officer heard it mewling in Flatlands, Brooklyn.
The 63rd Precinct, at 1844 Brooklyn Avenue, tweeted about it on Sunday:
Another day, another kitten rescued under a sewer grate
Officers Benjamin & Wirth heard this kittens cries for help & safely sprung him on #Easter
It was fitting to name him Cadbury

According to the Daily News, "Officer Ronette Benjamin first heard the kitty’s cries at 9 a.m. Sunday, when she walked into her basement office... At first, she thought nothing of it, but when she came back to her office at 1 p.m., she heard more meows. Her window looks out to a nearby sewer grate, and when she looked down, she saw the kitten, laying on a batch of leaves, police said."
Her colleague, Officer Katherine Wirth, previously worked at a vet's office and gave Benjamin a hand. "The duo then got assistance to lift the heavy sewer grate; one of the taller officers jumped down about six feet to grab the kitty and hand it up to Wirth," the News reports.
The kitten was given a clean bill of health and is currently with a cat rescue group. The 63rd Precinct also works with dogs, so maybe this lucky kitty will grow up to be the next Meow Meow Fuzzyface:
