The incident happened Monday evening in Far Rockaway.

An 11-year-old boy was seriously injured when a driver struck him on a Far Rockaway street on Monday evening.
Footage of the incident shows the boy going airborne after being hit. Now police are hoping the public can help them find the driver.
According to the NYPD, at around 7:40 p.m., the boy turned southbound on Dickens Street from Healy Street when the driver of a black sedan going north on Dickens Street crashed into him head-on: "The bicyclist became airborne upon collision and came to rest on the street several car lengths from the initial impact location."

If the location on the tweet is correct, the hit-and-run occurred less .25 miles from a Yeshiva and .3 miles from P.S. 104 the Bays Water.
