At Brooklyn Bridge Park, you can get great views and get films.

At Brooklyn Bridge Park, you can get great views and get films.

On the one hand, summer is the time of movies, big blockbusters with explosions and glowing A-list players and post-credits scenes that set up various sequels and tentpole franchises. On the other hand, those cost money and you only have so much of that. Good thing the city becomes a huge outdoor movie theater every summer, with all five boroughs showing everything from old French classics to modern day blockbusters. Also, Sing. If you love Sing, you'll love this free summer movie season.

So, check out our list of free screenings in Manhattan, Queens, The Bronx, Brooklyn and Staten Island this summer, and get out there and enjoy the warmth, the screens and the views.
