Tuesday's Non-Blizzard Still Transformed Central Park Into A Wintery Utopia

While we didn't get as much snow as the city prepared for, Central Park did top out at around seven inches, and plenty of New Yorkers took advantage of what will probably be the last big snowfall of the season.

Photographer Scott Heins trudged through the snow and ice to capture the picturesque scenes, and noted that it was "a genuinely great snow day scene in Central Park. The painful ice that had been falling in the morning subsided by afternoon and both kids and grown-ups were having a blast sledding. The pathways and bridges were filled with tourists and locals snapping photos, and a handful of cross country skiers were enjoying the fresh stuff."
