On Friday, a 45-foot-tall inflatable sculpture was unveiled right in the middle of Rockefeller Center. The Seated Ballerina is the work of Jeff Koons, and is part of his Antiquity series. The piece, brought to life in conjunction with Kiehl's, aims to bring awareness to National Missing Children’s Month this May, and "is based on a small porcelain figurine and acts as a contemporary iteration of the goddess Venus," according to a press release.
Get ready to see it in you Instagram feed (Koons is "great for selfies!"), but if you want to see it in person, you only have a few weeks—the piece will be on view through June 2nd.
