The place to be!
Droves of St. Patrick's Day revelers covered in green shamrock glitter and reeking of Jameson (or is that Bushmills?) have taken over Penn Station as the evening rush hour approaches, you got a problem with that? Armed with flasks, oversize shades, bagpipes (Scottish, but close enough?), vapes (we know), and at least one "Make St. Patrick's Day Great Again" shirt (Erin Go BRO), the proud revelers were out in force Friday afternoon, many of them rushing to catch outbound trains home after a long morning of getting properly... festive. Seriously bro, you got a problem with that?
With every boarding call, dozens rushed toward the tracks; many clutching brown bags of booze in bold defiance of the MTA's very unchill St. Patrick's alcohol ban.
We'll have some photos from the Manhattan St. Patrick's Day parade in a little while—it was a lovely day for it. In the meantime, here's a taste of the joyous hi-jinx that likely await you on the LIRR tonight...
