For one night only, Reservoir Dogs will come to the Beacon Theater for its silver anniversary screening—using Tarantino’s own 35mm print from his personal archive!
Twenty-five years ago, Tarantino reinvigorated cinema with his singular voice in his now canonical first feature. Perfect strangers, assembled to pull off the perfect crime, but their simple robbery explodes into a terrifying ambush and the ruthless killers realize one of them is a police informant. But which one?
The kinetic, visceral, and—yes—bloody masterwork continues to shake audiences with its stylish, unforgiving imagery and crackling dialogue. The 1992 release of Reservoir Dogs signaled to moviegoers that the then 29-year-old had the vision, the talent, and the squibs to make a lasting mark on the cinematic landscape.
Following the screening, the always unpredictable Tarantino will reunite with original cast members—reliving days on set and the impact this American classic has had on the film’s creators, cast, and culture at large.
