Photos: Concertgoers Get Soaked At Rainy Governors Ball Finale

The Avalanches, Parquet Courts, Phantogram, Wiz Khalifa, and Tool were among the acts that tried to get the crowd going on a dreary day.
The third and final day of Governors Ball on Sunday saw spirits dampened considerably by an incessant, spitting rain. Far fewer people roamed the festival grounds than on the previous two days, and those who were in attendance lacked the high spirits and gleeful abandon abundant earlier in the weekend.
The musical acts did their best to inject some adrenaline into the proceedings, however. An energetic early show by The Orwells fueled a mini mosh pit near the main stage, and lead singer Mario Cuomo can always be counted on for a bit of chaos, as when he disappeared from the stage during the final song and then popped up on top of the fence over by the chicken-finger stand, causing a stampede of fans of hoping to Instagram the shenanigans.
Parquet Courts played a great, occasionally even blistering set as the rain fell. Aussie mash-up masters The Avalanches put on a surprisingly lively stage show, with two highly charismatic singers, two drummers, and Robbie Chater and Tony Di Blasi handling everything else. And Mac DeMarco and Phantogram hit the stage in succession toward late afternoon to deliver to their devoted fans.
I have no doubt that Sunday night's big headliner Tool put on an epic show to close the festival, but this old man had to leave early and get some sleep after a long-ass glorious weekend. Below, some more from yesterday's lineup, including Wiz Khalifa and Warpaint.
