Despite some lukewarm reviews and a bunch of crybaby MRA's twisting themselves into pretzels over the Horrible Mean Girl Movie That Is Ruining Cinema, Captain Marvel—the latest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe—performed...................marvelously...................at the box office on its opening weekend. It raked in $154 million in the U.S. alone and $456 million globally. And star Brie Larson delighted fans in New Jersey when she showed up in costume (sorta) as Captain Marvel, and used her heroic powers to hand out popcorn at the concessions stand.
Larson showed up to the AMC Clifton Commons 16 in Clifton, NJ on Saturday. "I just heard I was on the cups and popcorn and I wanted to see for myself," she says in the video. "Thank you so much for coming, you guys are so awesome to come opening weekend."

She then stepped behind the concessions counter to meet fans, hand out popcorn and soda, and hopefully, make a lot of toxic fanboys waiting on line incredibly uncomfortable with the choices they have made in their lives that has led them to anonymously harass people online because HOW DARE THEY cast a woman in a lead in a comic book movie.

It may have been, for all intents and purposes, a staged event, but look how much people appreciated it: "Funny story I wanted to take my little cousins to see the new #captainmarvel and we ended up seeing #captainmarvel herself @brielarson serving guests at our local #amc and she was kind enough to take time to speak with these young ladies and made this night one they won't forget," wrote Susana Moimenta on Instagram. "What an amazing experience."
This wasn't even the best of the Captain Marvel press duties: Larson got to hang out with puppies thanks to BuzzFeed! When will someone pay me to hang out with puppies all day?? [Editor's note: Seriously, Ben?]

Assuming you're not one of those toxic MRA dudes, if you're still on the fence about whether or not to see the film because of superhero movie exhaustion or because you hate '90s nostalgia or whatever, just consider this: think how annoyed the guy who wrote the piece about "male-bashing elements in Captain Marvel" feels about its success. Did you know that Nick Fury "is shown washing dishes"?? HOW DARE THEY!!!!
