Grab your calendars, because the summer-plans-making season is apparently already upon us. On Friday, the Battery Park City Authority released its Summer 2017 Events Schedule, which boasts over 600 (mostly) free programs hosted along the neighborhood's riverside parks and promenades.

Some highlights include an under-the-stars screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a Swedish Folk Festival to celebrate the solstice, and a River & Blues Concert Series featuring New Orleans legends the Rebirth Brass Band. There's also some specialized recurring festivities—a sunset singing circle for experienced crooners; a host of drawing and sculpting classes for artists; and a weekly Teen Night for, uh, teens.

The events will take place across the 92 acres along the Hudson River that comprise Battery Park City, from Stuyvesant High School on Chambers Street down to the South Cover park at Manhattan's southern tip.
